General Campus Tours
UConn’s guided tours are designed for prospective students and
their families. Tours of the Storrs campus are held daily and reservations
are required. Tours last about two and a half hours and include a 30-minute information
session followed by a two-hour walking tour.
- Hosted at the Lodewick Visitors Center
- Begins with a 30-minute student led information session
- Includes a comprehensive 2-hour guided tour of the Storrs Campus
with stops in 7 facilities including:
- Science building
- Support service facility
- Homer Babbidge Library
- Residence hall
- Recreation center
- Student Union
- Held daily and reservations are required

Junior Showcase (March) and Fall Showcase (October)
Showcases are special introductory programs for prospective
students at the University of Connecticut. During the Showcase, students
will have the opportunity to tour our vibrant campus and explore choice
opportunities offered by the number one public university in New England.
- Hosted at the Student Union Theater
- Begins with a 30-minute student led information session
- Additional Professional staff on hand to answer questions
- Brief 30-minute tour of campus core with stops in 3 buildings
- Reservations required

Husky For A Day
Our Admissions Office created the Husky For A Day program to allow
prospective students to spend a day on the Storrs Campus, touring the campus
with a student host and attending UConn classes. This program is open to all
prospective students during the fall semester and to admitted seniors during
the spring.
- Hosted at the Lodewick Visitors Center
- Starts with an informal question and answer session led by Admissions staff and student Ambassadors
- High school students are matched with current UConn students
and as a part of their visit:
- attend a class
- have lunch in a dining hall
- see a residence hall
- Parents take part in a guided campus tour
- Reservations required

Open House
Open Houses are held twice a year. The Open House (September)
is open to all prospective students and the spring Open House (April) is for
admitted seniors. Our Open Houses provide in-depth programming including
information sessions with academic departments, visits to residence halls,
student life presentations, admission sessions and a resource fair. For more

- Check–in at Gampel Pavilion
- Fall Open House is open to all students
